Julie’s work with the Sussex HR Hub gives her the opportunity to advise on unusual and complicated employment issues for a wide variety of clients and industry sectors.
Julie believes that employment law advice isn’t necessarily about taking the line of least resistance, or lowest risk, it’s about doing what’s right for the company she’s working with. Her colleagues describe Julie as a high-performing, business-focused HR professional which is the approach she takes to each job.
Julie has a wealth of operational experience and as a Director at Board level in the public and voluntary sectors. Key achievements have included devising and implementing long-term HR strategy; negotiating and managing employee relations in unionised organisations; take-overs, restructuring and changing terms and conditions of employment during major re-organisations.
She takes a particular interest in UK statute and case law which enables her to advise on matters prior to and once an employment tribunal claim has been made.
In a previous incarnation Julie was runner-up for the prestigious national HR Director of the Year award.
